Yes, it meant what it meant and I’m back. February 20th was the last time I blogged. I seemed to have lost my spark in writing or maybe I just don’t know what the hell to crap about nowadays. On the other hand, I’m not really an awesome blogger to have so much of a spark in blogging. Ahh, what the hell am I saying..

Since the last post, this much has happened. I’ve already rooted my Android. In fact I’ve flashed a new ROM twice in between then and now. If you’re wondering what the hell does ‘flash’ mean and if you’ve been following my blog, you’d know I don’t do explanations. So I’m running CyanogenMod 7 with Gingerbread (google if you’re blur) at the moment. My issues with low internal memory has been solved which is a relieved. I hated seeing that stupid ass warning about low memory sign and having to think of what I can delete to clear space.

Mind you, this funny looking droid is awesome and snappy. Beats the stock any time though I do miss the HTC”s Sense UI at times. But, at the moment I’m facing some issues with installing applications bigger than 1mb probably due to incorrect flashing. Not to worry, small matter. I’ll just flash it again, properly, when I have the time, which might not be any time soon.

Now, the other thing which I have been pretty occupied with is the 7th Intervarsity Games in Moscow which falls next week. Being the sports bureau and handling a large contingent is not easy. Actually, not easy is an understatement. We faced tons of issues with training times being disrupted quite abit. Our ‘beloved’ coach or the ass who handles the training slots for us wasn’t very helpful. On the contrary, I think he is trying to sabotage our contingent. Fuck him, I’ve got a plan line up specially for him. And the other humans trying to fuck us up are the none other than our organizers and neighbours. We’ve been having issues with the flow and speed of information being to past to us. They expect us to be respond to their requests overnight while they take their sweet ass time to respond to ours. And most of them in the organizing committee are old friends and I hate to see this getting sour. Every year, it seems as though every other contingent hates us and wants us to lose. Or maybe its just our own head and every contingent thinks that their being hated the same way as well. Ah, fuck!

We’re pretty much in our last week of training and I really hope we do well this year. I’ve done my best to help these ‘Lions’ through and I really want them to do some justice to themselves and regain our pride. Every year, we face the same problems. We have an awesome team of players and every year we fuck it up somehow when it matters the most. Last year, we did the best ever. We were in most of the finals though we only got 1 gold from it, it was an eye opener to what we are capable of. Ahh, I can’t wait for the games to prove ourselves. Cheers Lions, we can do it.

I know, 2 posts in a day amidst the exam period is pushing it but I just had to do it. I am now official blogging from my phone. Yes, I have reach that high level of technological break through even though it took a while but it finally came through. I gotta say I’m loving the text predictions. I can make mistakes and the built in dictionary just corrects it for me. Way easier than typing from the keyboard. The optic ball that comes with the phone makes flipping in between lines a breeze. God I love this tech shit. Oh, I forgot to mention. I’ve given my Desire a name out of love and its a her. Ladies and gentlemen, presenting Her Majesty, Felicia Fellatio Fenix. Bask in all her glory my friends cause she can only get better. So on that note, cheers.

Fandroid

Aha, I’m back with the birthday report. How do I put it so that it doesn’t sound too cheesy. Of all my years here, my 24th birthday was the best one ever. Of course the best birthdays always involve alcohol and mine was nothing short of it. Started of on the 17th around noon with a few beers till dinner which was held at some Chinese restaurant nearby. Invited 25 of my closest friends with 3 bottles of whiskey for the guys and 3 bottles of wine for the women. Food was excellent, drinks were better and the people were just fantastic. All I pretty much wanted was everyone to drink and have fun and I think they all did. We continued later at the Indian restaurant below our hostel where I cut the cake. Ah, the cake. Upon my special request, the girls baked me and for the first time, a Guinness Stout cake. That turned out really well. The drinks continued of course. We called it a day around 2 am.

From all the smiling faces, I can safely assume that the dinner went well. On another note, I always look better posing with the ladies than with the guys. Wonder why?

Ok, continuing. The next day started of pretty slow. I guess we all needed to recollect ourselves from a heavy night. After sitting around and doing nothing, around evening I decided to finish up whatever beer was left, not much mind you. Then they decided they wanted to cut cake with everyone else who weren’t invited the night before. And I cut the cake, for the second time. Not that I’m complaining. This time was a cheese cake which always is my favourite, thanks to the ladies again. And the best part of the day was when a few of the lads and me gathered and opened 2 special bottles, Johnie Walker Gold Label and Glenfiddich 21 years. And to all you ladies out there, this is how we men drink. On the rocks or neat. We sipped as we talked till morning, which is the best way to drink. On the whole, I had an awesome weekend. Thanks to all who were involved, you’ve just made this birthday the best ever.

And now, I’m getting to the other best thing that has happened in my life. For the first time, I got myself a gadget which I can proudly say is up to date and performs very well. I can now safely and proudly tick one of from my bucket list. Introducing, the one and only, the love of my life at the moment, the beautiful HTC Desire WHITE. Oh yes, I got it. And I’m now officially a FANDROID. I have to say, the phone looks awesome, performs very well and confuses me a lot. After meddling with it for a couple of days, I still cant quite figure it out yet but I will, in a few months. Spent almost a week surfing and researching about smart phones and at the last moment, decided to go with the desire. Of course there others with better performance but they are also costly. And the reviews all speak for themselves according to TechRadar, Phonerated and T3. So suck on that Iphone.

simply beautiful

So far, 2010 has been pretty good year to me, actually awesome thanks to the Desire. All I can wish for is a better 2010, if thats any possible. New years around the corner. As usual, party hard, drink harder and its never too late to dump that Iphone and get an Android. Cheers !
