The topic has nothing to do with anything. I got nothing much to share with you guys. Pretty much the same old, same old. Instead I came across this video about 2 sick cars drag racing. To be a lil’ bit more precise, a Nissan GT-R, 2 of them actually and the infamous Bugatti Veyron. The results are predictable but never the less, it is a pretty cool sight. What more, this actually took place in Russia, Moscow for all we know and its not a closed up road just for this drag. There were other civilian cars on the road making the drag a bit more interesting. Check it out !!

April fools

The title has nothing to do the contents. I’ve got no idea on what to call it. I’m running out of title options. I’ve got a few things that have sparked my brains which otherwise rarely works. I’ve been talking about it for a while and I’ve finally decided. I don’t want a BMW anymore. Yes, just like most Malaysians, the car that showcases money, style, a few chicks and possible ownership of a cow farm is either the beemer or the mercs. The younger ones tend to go for the beemer and the older the latter. Of course there has been a change in trends nowadays. More and more people are buying compact sporty looking cars which shows a rise in life style and taste, for example the Cooper, Golf, Swift. On another note, the good folks from VW have decided to build a assembly plant in some corner of Malaysia which would lead to decrease in prices. Awesome news! I love the Golf GTI.

So, back to the topic in hand. I used to like a beemer. No offense, their awesome cars but their getting too cliché for me. But when I saw the new Audi A5, I loved it but being a 2 door wasn’t exactly right for me. Then I heard about the 4 door Audi A4, this was it, or until I find another car that I like. The best part, its 1.8  turbocharged which means I don’t have to pay so freaking much for road tax and insurance. I really like the new direction Audi is heading into. They are churning out brilliant looking cars with sexy shoulder lines and wheel arches. In the future, Audi would bring in to Malaysia the 2.0 and 3.2 V6. But who cares about that. Put aside the Ferraris and the other bloody expensive, totally impractical to buy in Malaysia supercars which most of us can only dream of sitting in let alone buy one. This is the car for me, at the moment.

Its Saturday morning or almost noon now. Had a good sleep, a much needed one. As usual, been busy the past week. Preparations for Kursk games are ongoing. Participation fees gonna drop, thank God for that. I’m almost broke and its only the 3rd of April.

The next best thing is that its April now which also means that the weather is changing. From that stupid ass freezing winter to the cool breeze of spring. I love it when its sunny outside with a slight tinge of cold wind. It always seems that when winter ends, a new lease of life springs up. Winter is so fucking depressing and dead. 5 winters here and I still can’t get use to it. No more heavy winter jackets or numb toes. Hell yeah!

Dead Weight

February was over a week ago and I have no idea what to blog about. To be honest, nothing interesting happened which I could crap about but somehow i feel the urge to bitch. A friend told me after reading my blog that it is all about me and my constant denouncing of everything. Then it hit kinda hit me. He is right. I do love to bitch.  Of course every now and then there is the little bit of information that I do share. e.g. cars, jokes which don’t really amount to much. But I do try mix the genre of which I bitch about.

Lets talk about DnC. We’re currently holding first place in the league table which is awesome. We had a rough and bumpy journey and now we’ve been 3 weeks at the top and we’re one win away from clinching the title for the 2nd time. I really do hope we can do it and I believe we would but we just can’t underestimate our opponents. These are guys are known to wreak havoc with the top teams and we just could be the next in line if we were to miscalculate their game play.

That aside, I’ve been on a holy mission to lose weight and become more fitter since the beginning of last semester. I never believed in dieting and I thought it was for losers and people who lacked self confidence. Oh, how was I wrong. It all started back in 2008 summer holidays when I begin to rack in the pounds. By the time I got back to Moscow, I was huge with a belly which I never believed I would get. I was 88 kg then. It still didn’t hit me. I stayed that way till winter holidays and added in icing to the cake with another 4 kg and then on, I was turning into a snail on the court, lost and breathless. I had become one of them and I had to do something about it. Diet seemed to be the natural thing to do. Damn, was it hard. I stayed 92 kg till Malaysia. Of course being at home, it was kinda impossible to diet but I told myself if I could not lose weight, at least I should not put on any and I did. Once in Moscow, I cut down the calories and continued my capoeira classes which I stopped just before fattening up. By 2010, I was standing proud at 86 kg. And to improve my fitness and strength, I stopped capoeira and joined the gym. (financially can’t handle both) I hit the treadmill 3 times a week and concentrated mostly on my cardio. Its been 2 weeks into that and I can boastfully say that I’m at 84 kg. Screw those fats and bring it on. Unfortunately, I am now in the elite group of people who scrutinize what they eat and are constantly mumbling about calories. Damn, that sucks.

I’ve seen loads of ugly cars. Just to name a few, Proton Tiara, Proton Juara and Proton Arena. Actually, most Malaysian are ugly when their not modified. But this one is class above all. Lada. What kinda fucking name is that? They look like shit, drives like shit, feels like sitting on shit and their the official taxi for the students and Muscovites alike.  However, i’ve got to admit that their also the most durable car that i’ve come across. For what it is, it can still handle the ever unpredictable Russian weather. Kudos to that.

Finally…

Filed under: Wheels — crumplerjournals @ 9:26 pm

Yes, it has come to this. I’ve finally got all of my credits for this semester on time. Gotta be honest here, that doesn’t really happen a lot with me. I don’t usually give my exams on time, sometimes its because of my own laziness or due to some unforeseen circumstances. Anyways, screw all of that. I’m done and damn it feels good, like totally. The things that i had to do to get it done on time. If only i could explain. Actually i could but forget it.

Been contemplating on upgrading my OS to Windows 7. If you must know, my laptop is like a twin turbo Wira with some not so ‘gempak’ but cool upgrades, if you know what i mean. Its old and I’ve been upgrading bits of it every summer. Its running on XP for obvious reasons. (vista sucks) Asked the wise guys around here a lot about 7, its compatibility and versatility. So far, reviews are good. But deep down inside, i am a lil bit worried if i my old one here can take it. Lets see how it goes. Will update on that.

Before i pen off, i’ll leave you with some interesting facts or crap however you look at it. Ever heard of Mansory. I never did, till i came across an article. Made me wonder why the hell are these guys so low profiled. Then it hit me that they don’t need to go around showcasing and promoting. People who buy their cars are totally exclusive and don’t need the publicity. Mansory in fact is an after market tuning company that specializes in modification of high-end, i repeat HIGH-END automobiles. Sadly, they don’t do protons or the lot. These guys have tuned, that is extensively on Bentleys, Aston Martins, Rolls Royce, McLarens, of course Ferraris and also the legendary Bugatti Veyron. But unlikely most tuners, Mansory focuses mostly on aesthetics instead of horsepower. The mods include new aerodynamics, wheels, luxurious interior along with an awesome paint job. Enough of me crapping, check out the pics and decide for yourself
